Really cool idea!!!
There's a set of Yahoo groups called Freecycle with chapters in several cities. The point of the group is to give away and recieve items at no cost, with the intention of helping conserve (you know, reduce-reuse-recycle...). Well, I've been participating in my local chapter for awhile, and last week I put up an ad asking for women's clothing from size 24 to 12. I explained that I'd had a gastric bypass and that my sizes were moving so fast, I couldn't afford to keep up with it. 5 people so far have given me bags of clothes in various sizes, most of it is ADORABLE! All for free, and when I'm done with it, I'll take it to support group and pass it on to others, or give it to nursing homes. It's a great way to help others get motivated to clean out their closets, as well as scoring some clothes that will fit for a week or two. Just go to groups.yahoo.com and search Freecycle. Then find the cities local to you and register. Easy peasy! Now I have a free closet of clothes I get to look forward to wearing!
