Hi Kat: What willpower you have!!!!!! I'm doing a little better....the first week I jumped on the scale several times a day. At least I've stopped doing THAT !!! Have to confess I got on it this morning and I'm down a pound. So I'm hoping it's getting started again. But I've been giving myself a talking too...and reminding myself that I'm already off 13 prescriptions, have gone down a size in clothing and bras, and feel so much more comfortable. That's what I'm trying to dwell on instead of the numbers. I've added more protein to my diet - adding unflavored protein powder to anything I can - and bought the sno-cone machine which is helping me get more fluid in. Just tried to relax today and let it flow...... Jean

hi! I am 5 weeks post op and I have hit a wall! I lost 24 lbs in the first 4 weeks and I have been the same for 2 weeks! I have been good, but I haven't started my walking program, I know I need to do that. I am doing my protien and lots of fruits and vegetables. Can anyone else tolerate nuts? Good Luck to All!

Hi Christina: It's really frustrating, isn't it??? I"m working at staying off the scale and concentrating on the other things happening to my body. I haven't tried nuts, yet. I"m supposed to be on pureed for another 3 weeks...adding a few new things but afraid of nuts just now. Jean

Just so you know, I haven't lost weight in about a week and a half now... I'm really frustrated and feel like *I'M* going to be that one-in-a-million for whom this surgery doesn't work. I just don't understand the math... if I'm only eating 450 cals/day, there's no way I could be gaining weight. At my 4-week on Thursday, the doc said I'm probably retaining water or something due to my dehydration last week. And I still lost about 30 pounds this month, which would make anyone in their right minds happy but... I never said I was in my right mind. I do wish I had a magic mirror to see me in October. All we can do is trust our bodies and our surgeons to know how to work this!

hi Christina, I've been snacking on a very small handful of almonds for breakfast with my protien shakes. I've tolerated them fine and I think they are helping with the constipation. Andrea
