3 weeks post op and hit a plateau....anyone else?
Ooooooooh yeah... but don't worry, a pause at 3 weeks is perfectly normal. Your body is just taking a deep breath trying to figure out just what the heck you did to it! Heck, I gained water weight back and kept it for about a week. The scale is starting to move downwards again (5 weeks out).
You have been tracking your measurements, right?
Oooooo...I just left a similar post and then say yours !!! LOL I've hit one at two weeks and 16 pounds lost. I hate that I'm panicking !!!!! The old diet mentality is kicking in and I want to cut back on the little bit of food I'm eating....which I really won't do because I know it would hurt me!! But I hate that that old feeling. Hopefully we've just hit the wall and will get back to losing soon.

I know what you mean about the old diet mentailty! I find myself doing the same thing. I even caught myself feeling guilty after eating 2 ounces of pureed tuna yesterday (AS IF!). Isn't that weird? Emotions and patterns often defy logic, huh? I mean, I know I'm not eating enough to cause me to stay at this plateau or gain everything back, but my head keeps telling me I'm doing something wrong. It's the strangest and most self-sabotaging behavior EVER! I wonder how I'll feel when I look back to this a year from now. Will I shake my head in disbelief and pity at the girl I am now, or will I still be feeling the same way? Dang...it sucks not to be psychic...

I am right there with ya! I am 4 weeks out today, and my scale seems to have stalled. It has taken me 2 weeks to lose about 5 pounds. I started a new exercise routine this morning, so hopefully that will help. I want to increase my fluids, but that is soooooooo hard!
Hang in there, it will kick up soon.

Yep; I actually GAINED weight this week... but the doc says that's because I let myself get so dehydrated that my tissues are now holding on to water.
I still feel that I'm eating too much, though... will have to start weighing food to see. Can't get rid of the diet mentality just yet.
Can't help thinking that I'm the first and only gb patient who'll stop losing weight after 3 weeks. They'll have to write me up in the medical journals.
