What did you eat today?

The steak episode aside, you're not eating much for 4 weeks out. Are you feeling OK? You should (by my surgeon's standards, anyway) be eating three times a day... and protein shakes aren't eating.
I never answer these posts because I'm attrocious! I think I'm ok with quantity, but I must improve the quality.

Aw thanks for your concern! Very much appreciated. I was put on protein not evern two days ago so I'm taking it easy going into the pureed lifestyle. I feel great. I just don't much of an appetite which my surgeon says can last from 6-8 weeks and occasionally a little longer. I do get in my protein daily and water which are number ones for me.
I'm trying to incorporate more pureed food daily. My surgeon had me on full liquids for 4 weeks and let me start pureed a few days early. That's his protocol. I'll be on pureed for 4 more weeks...can't wait till the soft stage!!

So far today I'm drinking a cup of hot decaf tea, but today is Monday and this was posted yesterday so I'll write what I ate yesterday!
B: Water (I don't tolerate food too well before 11 or so)
L: We went to Arby's and I had 1/2 of one 1/2 of a Bacon, Turkey, Ranch wrap (just the meat/cheese/bacon). So, basically it was 1/4 of the insides.
S: One bite of the insides of the wrap
D: about 2-1/2 oz of homemade chicken/vegetable/pasta soup
S: 5 oz ff/sf peach yogurt
Somewhere in there I had sf/ff/decaf mocha with chocolate protein powder mixed in. I drank about 3/4 of it.
I'm being Anal.... The following has been Everyday since May 16th.

10am 8oz SF CIB with Calcium Chew 500mg
11am 4oz Water w CL
12noon 8oz SF CIB with Calcium Chew 500mg

6pm 8oz Soup Broth
7pm 8oz Water
~60 grams of protein, 64 oz of fluid
Now that the Mosquioties are out, I'm expecting to get a bite and spring a leak like on the cartoons.....
Starting Diced solids on Wednesday.... But I reeaalllyyy Crave a Salad....
Dr. says not for a few months....

Sunday was the first day I didn't have a single protein shake!
B: 2oz shaved turkey breast plus 1oz shaved Healthy Choice ham
L: Egg drop soup (7oz chicken broth plus one egg white and 1/2 egg yolk)
D: 2oz turkey, 1 oz ham
S1: SF Popsicle (get the tropical flavor ones, they're tasty!)
S2: a second batch of the egg drop soup
S3: another Popsicle
That was a light protein day for me - only 60g, and I usually get in about 70g. Normally I would have had 8oz of Carb Countdown milk as a snack, but forgot (oops).
It's amazing - I bought 1lb of turkey and 1/2lb of ham on Friday and have been eating them twice a day. And there's still turkey and ham left! Pre-op, that 1/2lb of ham would have been gone in a half hour.
I am sooooo craving vegetables now... a crunchy salad, some roasted cauliflower, raw carrots... oh well, the time will come eventually.

My doc said for the first 2 weeks to concentrate on 80 grams of protein and 80 oz of liquid.....so I sip all day and get in 3 protein shakes 105 grams of protein. I think this is what is helping to curb my appetite. I also have 1oz of pureed turkey burger meat and 1oz of either pureed spinach or winter squash....I eat this delicious meal 2-3 times a day depending on life....problem is after eating I can't drink for 1 full hour....and I get thirsty! But I'm post op day 13 and down 26 pounds post-op after loosing 22lbs pre-op! A total of 48 pounds! I feel like I can get dressed again!!! How wonderful is that!
