I always see that on the Main MB but I was curious what all the May Dates were eating. We're at least in the same month and on a similar page. B-Protein shake L-almost 2 oz. cottage cheese D-Protein mix in lemonade Somewhere in there I ate 10 plain goldfish crackers, I chew on these a while and then they kind of melt in my mouth (God, these taste so good! I hope they are not addictive). I still don't have much of an appetite. Although I made some steaks for dinner and although I can now have pureed food, the though of pureeing a piece of steak just made me laugh. So I chewed on a piece for ever but I didn't have the courage to swallow so I just spit it out. Crazy?? What are you all eating??

Ana - be careful! I thought the same thing about chewing good vs. pureeing and my nutritionist let me have it. I had been having some nausea that since I went back to very soft foods like applesauce and soup, has gone away. There is a difference. Like you, I don't have much of an appetite. Oh, and by the way, I had 6 or 7 bites of my family's macaroni and cheese (my former favorite food) and after several wonderful moments of chewing, spit each one out. As for what I ate yesterday... B - fortified milk (w/extra protein) L - bacon/cheddar flavored potato soup thing (wasn't very good) D - 2 oz. applesauce (forced down)

Oh, the chewing thing was just one 1/2 inch piece of steak I cut for my daughter...that's when I just opted for protein in my lemonade, lol. It wasn't something I wanted to try again though. Thanks for the advice!

Laurie, Looks like you and I eat fairly similarly. Whew, I thought I was an oddity. LOL! I went to a festival on Saturday and had to eat real chicken since there was nothing similar to puree there and no soups or anything soft. I just took tiny bites like you and chewed it to death and it was just fine and dandy. Awesome weight loss! Congrats! I'm a day after you I think and down 18 pounds so far! Best wishes, Kathy

Kathy - I feel like I'm not getting enough in, but I don't feel I could possible eat anymore!!! Today was not so great on the water cuz I was gone all day and my water bottle got warm. I hate warm water. I like it ice cold!!!! Congrats on your weight loss!!!! Doesn't it feel great?! I have people who didn't know I had surgery saying that I'm looking good. And I say to myself "you aint seen nothing yet"!!!!!!

I feel like I'm getting a bit more in then the nutritionist said I would. Tablespoons versus ounces, ya know? Certainly not big meals by any stretch of the imagination. But I'm happy. I had to work to get the water in. Seems like I can take more normal sips now rather than baby ones and that helps get it in. Thanks, yes, the weight loss feels good. I've figured out that it is distributed differently then a few years ago when I lost down to this range (only was about 9 lbs less than current). Clothes I wore then aren't quite fitting yet. But good news is that I have stuff to wear when it does. Congrats on your weight loss, as well! Yes, it feels great to see people and have them comment. Take care, Keep in Touch, Kathy

Laurie, We had our surgeries on the same day. I was so lucky to have been advanced to soft food early. I hated the pureed stuff. Did the chicken go down ok? Jessica Lap RNY 5/19/05 down 20 lbs
