I FINALLY KNOW WHAT DUMPING MEANS!
I had open rny on May 2nd and have had no problems with nausea or problems with food of any kind. I don't even get a full feeling. I have been a little disappointed (believe it or not) that I haven't had any of these restrictions.......until today!
My BF and I were out running some errands and he wanted some ice cream. We went to Braum's and I decided that a scoop of carb watch sf chocolate ice cream surely couldn't hurt me. WRONG! LOL LOL HA HA on me! I have just spent the last 2 hours in the bathroom.
UHG! Unbelieveable! Thought I was gonna die. I will never, ever eat ice cream as long as I live!

Ick, sorry you went through that...
I had about a 1/2 cup of Breyer's CarbSmart ice cream over an hour or so, and it went down fine... I s'pose there's a tiny chance that they gave you regular by mistake, too!
My first dumping syndrome happened in the hospital, so I got 'trained' early... ickers. I seriously thought I was having a heart attack. Who sweats out their forearms?! (Apparently, me, when dumping...)
Hey Caren,
Sorry to hear about your episode i've been very lucky so far where dumping is concerned. Last night I had my first experience with ice cream it was mint chocolate and it was devine!!! I bought the -no sugar added- and I ate more of than I should have about half a cup but it went down fine. When you go out you can never be sure what it is you are getting. I wouldn't say never again on trying ice cream just go to the store and make sure there's no sugar added the one I bought had 10 grams of sugar and I had no problems. Wishing you better luck in the future.
