Divine intervention or Freakish Situation

I was scheduled to have my Roux-en-Y yesterday May 31. I was so excited when I arrived to the hospital, I got all prepped, took all the medicines, and was even put to sleep, I mean totally under. Breathing tube and all. Then I was awaken and all I could ask was, " How'd the surgery go" Imagine my total disappointment when the anesthesiologist said "We never got started, your blood pressure bottomed out before the doctor started and I called it off." I was in tears and was just mad, and sort of glad that they didn't take a chance anyway with my life. But after the surgery I started to think that maybe, the surgery wasn't meant for me like it was a sign not to do it.

Kristina just have faith and know that it happened for a reason. It was not meant for u to have surg. yesterday, but soon it will be . Thank God you had a DR that was attentive and careful regarding your care. Good Luck and God Bless........................Cathy

Whoa! Glad your doctor didn't take a chance and that you're ok! I imagine it was just a fluke, but it might depend on how you really feel, deep down, about having the surgery. I honestly felt like leaving when I had mine. My doctor was behind, so I took it as a "sign". They came and got me right before I chickened out. Take your time in rescheduling once they get your BP under control. Take care and keep us posted on how you're doing!!
