Is it just me getting these obscene, loud, uncomfortable hiccups that last for eons?? Oy vey! We went to Laughlin, NV on day 4 post-op, and I had the most embarrassing case of the hiccups for HOURS. I had several people come offer me water, to which I'd sheepishly grin and extract my own bottle. I held my breath...nothin'. My DH kept trying to startle me...nuthin'! What's the story here? How embarassing! Funny, true, but embarassing! Gina - RnY - 5/23

I get them a lot more, now, too. Don't know why... Maybe because of the constant sipping???

LOL HI! I am now 19 days post op (May 12th) I had the same thing with the hiccups! Mine started right out of surgery! I had them the first night almost nonstop and then the following week periodically. What i tried...i don't know if it will work for you but i pinched the tip of my tongue with my thumb and my index finger (i know...sounds pretty dumb) pinch it for about a min or two. I learned tihs when i was in University, apparently it is a reflexology point. I hope it works! I know what you are going through! Con't success on your journey!

LMAO I got the hiccups when I read this post! I'm serious! Mine don't last long, usually, but they can hurt, because they pull on my incision sites. Mine just go away on their own.
