MEAT anyone?
Seems like many people can't tolerate beef. Friends and family went to a nice resturaunt over the weekend and I was daring enough to order a filet. I cut it into really small bites and chewed like crazy, dipped it in some sour cream and it was heavenly. Anyone else tried beef, other than ground?

My post op papers say that the cuts of beef I can eat are the loin cuts like tenderloin. Its says that the t bone and prime rib are too fatty and tough. I don't know, guess it's how it's prepared. i'm still on full liquids so I haven't ventured past pintos & cheese from taco bell yet.

Hi Tonya,
I am not scheduled to eat beef until I reach six months. I can try deli meats next week. Over the weekend, I tried shreded chicken...it went down ok, but hurt like a heart attack afterwards. I won't be trying that again any time soon. I'll be on turkey, chicken, fish, and deli meats long before I can have beef. However, I can't promise that I won't try it sooner!!
I tried chicken the last two days, once it was breast with ceasar dressing and parm cheese. It hit my stomach and just sat there, ugh, the feeling. Yesterday I tried sliced chicken from the deli and had fat free gravy on it. It came right back up. I spoke with the nutrionist today and she said that if beef stay, go for it. Try to increase my 1 ounce to 1 1/2 ounce to up the protein. This is such a learning experience.
