Hi all, how is everyone faring? Weight Loss? Energy? Excercise? I am doing pretty well, after seeing my surgeon last Tuesday she released me to eat regular food. I have been trying but an having a real issue with food being to dry. I have tried several different things, but if they are dry it is the biggest struggle to get them down and I wish I had not after all done. I have been to 3 birthday parties with 3 birthday cakes this weekend and did not even take a lick of the icing. Sometimes I get angry when I am around a lot of people talking about and enjoying food, unfortunately we have been under a torrential downpour all weekend and have not been able to simply leave to go walk. I weighed this morning and am at 270 from 295, my surgeon weighed me on Tuesday of last week and said I had lost 32lbs, so I am sticking with that weight until my scale catches up!!! My energy has picked up but we have had an extremely busy weekend, it was my daughters 4th birthday and my mother-in-law is in town. I have been doing great on getting my protien in, I am still struggling on my fluids, one more wee****il I return to work.

Hi! I'm doing well- I went back to work after a week and a half, and I was really tired all week... I think it may have been too soon. I'm not having any problem with foods, but am still on soft foods til Weds. Then I can have chicken, shrimp, turkey, etc. I don't really get a full feeling when eating, so I have to measure and stop when I've had enough. I'm walking a lot, I can go back to the gym starting Weds. I've had NO pain this entire process. I've lost about 30 pounds, I'll officially weigh in on Weds. It's helped a lot to keep record of everything I eat on FITDAY.com. I have a couple of questions: How much liquids are you shooting for daily? How much protein daily? How many calories? How many carbs?

Heidi, I agree about the food being to dry. I really do not even enjoy eating anymore because nothing tastes good...I just want to find something that really hits the spot so that I can at least enjoy something. So far its just the water thats any good... Patti

Sounds like you're doing great. I wish I could say the same. I was better a week ago. I started having left side incision pain; surgeon thinks I might have over done it walking somehow. So I'm bummed that I can't work out until my pain is gone. Pain meds helps some but I will check up with surgeon this week to make sure all is well. I'm pretty good at getting water in but lately it's been hard but I'm drinking at least 40-50 oz which is better than nothing...not countins soups/broths. My surgeon still have me on full liquids. I can't wait until the next stage! I'm dying for fresh fruit puree...peaches/grapes smell sooooo good. Glad you still have a week to recuperate. ana

Hi Ana! I noticed you live in Galveston County. would that be near League City, Clear Creek area? I have been looking at some homes for sale online in that area. My sons are in High School and I did some investigating and that school is a good one. I am originally from Texas and have lots of family there. I am in my cousins wedding in October. I am hoping to have dropped atleast 80-90 lbs by then. I have only dropped 23 so far that I know. I have been on that plateau you get between weeks 3-5. I just started week 3 this week. Hi Chylene. League City is in Galveston County. We live very close by and my husband actually works in League City. My best friend's son recently graduated from Clear Creek HS. Depending on where exactly you live there are Clear Creek, Clear Lake and Clear Brook HS all which are great schools. It's a great area and it's growing and growing, in a good way. I wish you luck on your continued loss! Ana 221/198/??

I think while we are there in October we are going to line up some homes to look at. We are somewhat seriously considering moving. Homes here are so outrageous now, it is awful! I own a business and I can keep it and work from home there. I know one thing though. I would NEED a pool in the back yard. It has been a LONG time since I have lived in that humidity! My son is graduating 8th grade next month. I am so torn cause my step son who lives with us is finishing his sophomore year. I hate moving them once they are in High School.

Hi, I'm doing great... the scale went to 372.5 today from 405.5 on may 13, but I haven't been able to get it that low again today. Soon; soon. Yes, I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself daily, but when the weight is changing fast it's so fun. I've been eating well-chewed solids even last week when I was supposed to be in soft mode, and it's been going very well. I've gotten up to about an 0.6 mile walking route (we tested in the car tonight) which sounds like nothing, but is a big deal for someone who suffered crippling back pain from just grocery shopping. Let's all give ourselves a pat on the back and a big woohoo for our progress! cheers, k
