Overate again...ugh
Tom,
I totally understand your fear. It scares me too, and, I think, it pretty much scares everyone.
I'm not sure how much you're supposed to be eating... I'm on full liquids, which is basically cream soups, pudding, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. and am allowed 2 oz per meal, 3 times a day. I time my meals to be right before the others eat, if possible, and while they eat, I walk for about 30 minutes, which kills time until I can drink again...
I don't know if you're already doing this, but if not, it might help. Glad makes these little disposable/reusable tupperware type containers, and one of them comes in 1-cup sizes. I either pre-fill these containers 1/2 way and have them in the fridge, handy to grab, or simply fill them when it's time to eat. Then, I put away ALL my prep stuff (containers, spoon, etc.), even going so far as to rinse the spoon I used to scoop out, etc. and the go to an entirely different part of the house to eat. It's easier to over-eat if the food's right there, but if you have to actually get up, go back to the kitchen, prepare/spoon out more, you have to think about it and hopefully, you're able to stop yourself before you do it.
Just a thought. Hang in there. It will get better.
Becky
