Incision soreness

Almost 3 weeks out here and these past few days I've had some major soreness/pain on the biggest incision (left side). It seems to get aggrevated after I walk (I notice it as I try to sleep that night....because I can't). Last night I tossed and turned the whole night b/c I coudln't get comfy. It never bothered me before and I feel it's going to deter me from walking. Anyone else experience this? Does Tylenol help? I think we can take that...I also have the nasty liquid form (blah). I didn't want to call my surgeon over the holiday weekend, especially if it's quite common. Thanks for your input! ana

Wow, I was just looking at my lower left incision this morning and noting that it was much sorer than the rest. It's also the most bruised. I would try the Tylenol and if that doesn't help, call your doctor's office. I'm almost 2 weeks out and mine doesn't hurt as much as your's seems to. Take care, Kristen

Would warm compresses help? Mine was pretty sore a few days ago (surgery May 2) and my husband put some Neosporin on it (the one that is plus pain relief) and it helped me sleep. Might have some numbing stuff in it? Since I am diabetic, I am healing slowly, and it has helped heal the incisions faster, as well as keep them from getting infected. Tylenol would probably be a good choice, as well. Take it about 20 minutes before bedtime. I know it knocks my son out, so maybe it'll help you sleep, too. Good luck!
