I'M BAAAACK

had my surgery on tuesday,may 24 and i am now at home feeling better each day.immediately after awakening in the recovery room i was in severe pain,and i had some unexpected surprises such as an ng tube,and an iv in my jugular vein.i was having serious regrets about my desicion .but then something strange happened,i started to feel a little better with each passing hour.wed am my ng was removed,big relief.out of bed ambulating all day wed.thurs am drain removed ,iv removed from my neck,started on po pain med.thurs. 1230 pm discharged to home.i spent 54 hours in the hospital from start to finish.i am tolerating my liquid diet ,protein drinks ok better with a touch of cinnamon.i am having a picnic on monday,if your in my area stop in for some sf jello,beef/chicken broth ,sf popsicles and plenty of ice water to wa**** all down.(sorry but i wont share my roxinol!!!)good luck to all with dates ,thanks to everone for words of support,

Welcome back! Congratulations! You did it!!!! Wow!!! I'm going in for my surgery on Tuesday May 31st. Sure hope I do as well as you have. Keep in touch and let me know details, every little bit of info sure does help. God bless.

Way to go, JIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad things went well !! I was thinking about ya. I had surgery on 24th also....went home on 26th. Didn't have ng tube but DID have the iv in neck Had that until day I was discharged. Your picnic sounds much like mine.......I'll be right over !!! Will even "bring my own bottle" of pain meds.
