I'm home and doing great!

I had my surgery on Monday and was released from the hospital on Thursday. I was so nervous about having my surgery. I'm so glad it went well and I'm doing well. Like the other "May 2005 babies" I'm trying to get used to "sipping" not gulping, not being hungry, but knowing I have to get my water and protein drinks down. I'm just so pleased and relieved that I don't seem to have any complications. No one can really prepare you for what this is like, even though I felt very prepared. It will all be worth it as the pounds come off and I feel healthier! Lori

Hey Lauri, I had my surgery same day as you and aside from the mood swings, and HATE of protein shakes I'm good. I got some good advise on this site this morning for things I was having trouble with. I swear, this site is the best thing that has happened to me through my journey. I can't imagine anyone going through this and not knowing about WLS! Whenever I feel down or simply have a question I ALWAYS feel better after reading. We'll do just fine as long as we continue the support. I NEVER felt as though I was one in need of SUPPORT. But WOW I really see how much it helps. We can say things here that we wouldn't say to our family. And here, everyone knows what we're feeling...Its amazing!
