Is it just me or do you also wish they made Nacho cheese flavor? I've never been much of a sweet eater & can't stand the shakes as they are all sweet-YUK!!!!

I had an AWFUL time with the protein shakes (which tasted just fine BEFORE surgery). I just switched to a new routine - it might work for you, if you like milk. I am using BeneProtein, which is a flavorless protein powder. I add 2 scoops to 8 oz. of milk. Each scoop has 6g of whey protein. In addition to the 8g of protein in the milk itself, that equals 20g of protein in a regular glass of milk! I have to drink 4 glasses of milk each day and I'm getting 80g of protein. The BeneProtein really doesn't change the taste of the milk either. Its wonderful!

The actual brand name BeneProtein was given to me at the hospital, but all it is is unflavored whey protein powder. If you go to a store that has a good selection of nutrition products, you should find it. Look for either "unflavored" or "natural flavor" which means the same thing. That means you can add it to other things (like milk) and it won't flavor it.
