Surgery set for May 26th

Hi. I'm new to the message boards....my surgery will be open gastric bypass and it's scheduled for May 26th @ Barnes Jewish Hospital. Yikes, that's just a few days away. No 2nd thoughts but I'm getting a little nervous.

I'm a little nervous about the Open procedure. How bad was it after surgery? Were you in a lot of pain? How long did it take for the incision to heal? Wow, you've lost 162 pounds, that's great! I hope I do as well as you've done. Any advice for the hospital stay and after would be appreciated! Angel

Angel; My prayers will be with you. Since our surgery is on the same day I will definitely have a reason to remember you - my prayers will be that you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. In fact, I know you are going to do well.
