Hi everybody i'm techinally an April babe but since my surgery was on the 29th I usually post on both April and May boards. Today was my first drs appt since my surgery so until today I had absolutely no idea how much weight i'd lost. When I stepped on the scale I kept trying to look and the nurse scolded me and told me to be still DRUM ROLL PLEASE..............i've gone from 353 the day after surgery to 316!!!!!! thats a loss of 37lbs............woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly fainted I couldn't believe it I weighed on the electric and manual scale just to make sure I wasn't dreaming or the scales weren't brokenlol This really works yall!!!!

Way to go Kristy! I went in for 2 wk checkup and had lost 26 lbs (9 of that was gained in the hospital from swelling and fluids) so 17 'real' pounds lost in 2 weeks! Ain't it great?? Take care, Caren

Hey yall, Thanks for your congrats on my weightloss and congrats to all of yours as well. I'm 3 weeks post-op now and i'm doing pretty good so far i've not gotten sick once and i'm starting to eat more solid foods so i've got more energy than I did even a week ago. Barbara to answer your questions no i'm not working right now I haven't in a couple of years unfortunately I have 2 ruptured disc so once I lose a signigicant amount of weight i'm going to have to have back surgery to repair them. But i'm 38lbs closer so thats something to be greatful for. My surgeon is Dr Hixon and he's done a great job thus far he's easy going and tells you like it is. Good luck to you Barb on your upcoming surgery things will turn out fine, and you can email me if you need any help. Kriss
