tommorrow is my day...
Christine...
Hi, I am Sunni, I had my surgery 1 week ago tomorrow, and been home since Sunday....
I think that you should just make sure to wear something comfy/loose.. to the hospital, and bring something nice and loose to wear home from hospital... You ONLY need toiletries for shower, possibly slippers/houseshoes. I brought too much stuff and all I brought was what I had been advised...I did not get to use any of what I had with me...and you will prob not either...so keep it simple...
I will tell you that I was a big baby in the ICU..lol I was hot and they had to put a C-pap machine on me for sleep apnea...I hated it! (but it was neccesary)
I hope that you have a great recovery...Let us know how you are doing when you get on the Losing Side...!
In My Prayers!

Hi Christine
First of all, congrats on your surgery. I feel so blessed for being able to have this surgery done and believe that we all should feel blessed for being able to basically start over again and build better healthy lives. It is so exciting and just soooo amazing. Ok - having said that.....I really didn't take much with me to the hospital - everything I needed while I was there was provided......right down to lotion, deodorant, shampoo (no conditioner). I took house shoes cuz I knew I'd have to be walking, but didn't even use those because they put those surgical slippers on me that have the non-skid stuff on the bottom. Just make sure you take something comfy to wear home - loose around the waist! I gained 9 lbs from fluids and swelling!
Good luck - hang in there - don't let your nerves get ya!
Take care,
Caren
Hi Christine,
Congrats on your surgery you'll be just fine you'll see. The only thing I took with me was my favorite pair of loose pants, flip flops, and a tshirt to wear home, and a book to read the hospital supplies you with all the personal stuff you'll need. You might want to bring a pillow for the ride home cause it can jiggle your sore tummy more than you realize. Good luck tomorrow sweetie i'll send up a prayer for you.
