The marinade for that recipe has both teriyaki sauce and maple syrup. The sugars didn't cause you any trouble?
My first fishy venture will probably be Striped Bass in Salt Dome - it's a recipe from Good Eats and is of course available on the foodtv.com site. I've done this recipe numerous times, and my husband is crazy about it! I use whole tilapia instead of bass since he prefers very mild fish. If you try it, leave the head and tail on or else the fish flesh is going to get salty as heck! (learned that the hard way, oops)
Maybe it's a good thing I'm not at the "try anything" stage. I'm already a painfully slow loser as it is.

Hi there.
I had my surgery on 5/10/05. I am on clear liquids for another 5 days then I can progress to full liquids which will be things like milk, cream soups, etc... but it all has to be strained. That will be for 2 weeks. Then I can move to the soft foods stage. I can't wait for that.
I don't mind it too much. I'm not hungry and the weight is falling off so I am happy about that.
I think it is interesting to see how different every doctor's requirements are. Mine says I need 96 grams of protein a day, but that hasn't been a problem for me.
Everything is working out great. How about you?

Bev here from Spring, Tx. I am on clear liguids until 5/19/05 which is my 28th wedding anniversary. On this lucky day I get my staples removed and progress to solids consisting of lean meat and green leafy veggies only and even then only 30cc at a time 3xs a day. I am with Dr Wongsa Who I'm told is the best in this area, With a diet this strict, I can only hope so. Good Luck With your weight loss!

Hi All!
5/9/05 here, I have been on soft diet since the day after surgery. I have had to get a lot more creative this week! I am doing my shakes in the morning (finally up to 2 scoops powder + the soy molk and I am at 53.5 gm protein), I have had some food processed chicken salad and the shrimp spread in Susan Maria's book. Today I had a piece of grilled Mahi Mahi and some cantelope. Really great!!! A huge tablespoon of peanut butter on a saltine has been a life saver for me. As of 5/17/05 I have lost 16 lbs, not bad for 8 days!!!!
