I'm home!!

I had my surgery Thursday and I came home yesterday afternoon. It wasn't at all what I thought it would be. It really wasn't that bad. I mean, yes you have some pain and yes it hurts to cough....when they really want you to cough but it's all so worth it. The worst part for me...sleeping...but my butt is so sore from sleeping in the recliner, every few hours my husband has to come in and help me readjust my pillows and blankets. One thing that helped me is I bought a pillow to hold when I coughed or when moved in the bed. It wasn't a regular pillow but one of those fuzzy "teen type" pillows that you find at Wal-Mart. That really saved the day! Anyway, good luck to you all!

Good for you jaimie! I also had my surgery on Thurs and came home yesterday. I'm sleeping in bed, but am struggling with the pain where my drain was. I'm hoping it will get better each day! Keep up the good work! ~Wanda
