came home today!

Hi, I had my laproscopic gastric bypass on Thursday and came home from the hospital today. Boy, I'm missing my morphine pump, but I think I'm doing okay. I'm very sore where the drain was taken out of me, but I'm so glad to be on the losing side! Good luck to all of you who are scheduled for later this week! ~Wanda

Wanda, Congrats...I had my surgery on Wednesday and you will feel better and better each day. I believe a good nights sleep in your own bed will help you. Patti

congrats on everything going well I am scheduled for Wednesday and I am so excited but worried. Are you in alot of pain? Lori

Lori, I'm not in too much pain, but there's a fair amount of pain where they put the drain into my stomach. That's the only area where I'm still feeling pain. I'm hoping that will get better after a few more days. Nothing unbearable, but very very sore. I'm also feeling so unbelievably full. There isn't any way I can get all of the protein and fluids in me that they want me to. I'm drinking almost constantly, and hoping that as they days progress I'll be able to get more down. It's amazing how I'm totally not hungry too. Good luck on Wednesday. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your procedure goes as well as mine did, because I basically had not difficulty at all! God bless, Wanda
