Yup, I got through it

Well, I made it through. Tough sledding becasue I didn't pass the swallow test twice. But no leaks, ots of walking, good progress and home yesterday at 5:00. On May 12th I wouldn't have believed I would be home on May 13. Good to see others home from May 9. I'm feeling great to be home. No kitties come to wake you up in the hospital, just another person wanting a little more of your blood. Everyone was so nice though. One amazing ICU nurse named Cuc was a hard-working standout.

I missed my kitties whilst in the hospital, too. Then again, *they* never brought me painkillers and Crystal Light... Welcome to the losing side!

congrats robert i am glad that you are home and doing better. i got home on may11th. my surgery went well too and i am doing better than i expected. just praying that it keeps up. congrats and happy to hear from you. rach

Congratulations! I was done on 5/10 and home on 5/12. I agree it was good to see my kitties. Didn't seem right sleeping in a bed without one or two of them snuggled close by! Today first day of soft solids....learning what I can eat and how much. How are you doing?
