good and bad news........

Hi All! Here's the good news....... Well today I finally got my APPROVAL! But here's the bad news..... They postponed my surgery from Tuesday the 17th until Monday the 23rd. I know it's only 6 days but I was really excited about having surgery in 4 day. Oh well I quess I should just be thanking my lucky stars that I got approved at all. Angie

Hi Angie Have faith that God will have you in there when you are MEANT to be there. Your original date was not when you were supposed to go and believe that when you do go everything is all set up for you with God to keep you safe from surgery. That's how I got thru everyday til surgery. Even said a prayer on the OR table that if it was my day to go please dont let it hurt. Woke up in pain, knew I wasnt going anywhere!! Wow!! They scheduled your surgery FAST after approval. Mine was like a month out. Remember, everything happens for a reason, so be glad it'll be the 23rd. You'll be on the losing side in no time flat!! Trust me! Kudos and Congrats!!! Keep us posted! Hugs, Trisha -56 lbs

Angie, We have the SAME surgery date!! I'll be going in on May 23rd also.. I sort of picked the date. I am a teacher and its our first day of summer break!!! Best of luck to both of us!! Theresa

Don't worry Angela, there's a reason it was changed. My original date was changed, two days before the surgery!! But it worked out to God's glory, for I was able to host a scrapbooking/stamping crop at our church that Saturday, that there would have been no way I could have done 1 day out of the hospital. And I was able to sing at church, and even have some more "favorite" foods that I hadn't been able to fit in the week before! So, it'll work out, just have faith, and good luck!

Congrats!! Yeah, having to wait an extra few days is hard, but it will get here! When do you start fasting and such? That makes it more "real" when you are doing your prep.

I know I'm behind, but I hope the liquid diet is going ok for you! That was the hardest for me. After surgery it doesn't bother me as much when I saw my family eating in front of me as it did then. Now I'm fine with my cottage cheese and Popsicles. LOL So far so good! I've lost at least 10 lbs, but still can't keep turkey or chicken down. Haven't tried fish yet, but my Schwan man is coming with Blue Hake for me today. It's supposed to taste like cod, so we'll see if it stays down or not. Good luck and keep us posted!
