First Timer here w/ surgery date for 5/17! NERVOUS!

Hi everyone - I've been reading this board and using OH as a resource for the last year while I've been pursuing the idea of WLS. After some major tussles with CareFirst BC/BS in MD - they finally added lap band to the list of approved surgeries!! YEAH! So, I met with my dr last Monday - they resubmitted my info that afternoon and I got approval the next afternoon!! That made my head spin enough, but then Dr. Li called and said, hey - wanna do it a week from today?! So next Tuesday, 5/17 I'm going IN! 8:30 am! I can't believe it!! But now, I'm so nervous/excited...what do I need to take to the hospital? What are my first days afterward going to be like? I can't believe this is really happening! I'm doing the isopure liquid diet right now, starving but who cares! 4 more days... thanks for helping or listening or caring..any and all of it!

Fanya, Your surgeon's office ought to have a packet with all the info you want. I would call them. Good luck, John
