OOOOPPPPPSSSS!

Hi Everyone- Quick question. How big a deal is it if I haven't beeb on a liquid diet for a full week before LAP RNY? I had my preop nutrition class this morning and they said I need to be on a liquid diet 1 week before, but I didn't get a copy or know that before. My surgery is Tuesday! I hope it doesn't mean he won't be able to do, even if he has to do it open. Hugs, Angie

Get on it ASAP. ANd stay mostly on clear liquids. I only had to do it for 5 days, so different surgeons are differnet. - don't worry about it. barb

Hi Angie, I didn't have the lap I had the fobi pouch done so maybe it's different with different surgeries i'm not sure. My dr didn't require me to do anything special prior to sugery except the day before nothing to eat after 4pm the had to do a fleet enemia, and bowel cleansing. It wasn't the most plesant experience but I got to eat what I wanted up until 4pm day prior to surgery. Anyways good luck to you my best friend had the lap shes down 150lbs and doing great!!! Kriss
