1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 box of sugar free popsicles, a few bottles of isopure protein, its like watered down koolaid form GNC, get the carb free. I like the pineapple/bananna and the grape. Made a grape slush for after lunch today. I couldn' handle the shake type protein. Never was a shake person. The Glucerna/ensure was too sweet and thick for my taste, made me want to puke. You may discover your normal toothpaste mouthwash may make you want upchuck. I changed to arm and hammer with baking soda. Sugar free crystal light to help get in your liquids, or propel water by gatorade. Hope these suggestions help. Most are directly from my nutritionist handout. My WLS was 12 APR 05. Good luck and GOD's SPEED.

For the hospital, add a wooden spoon or plastic tongs in case you have problems reaching to wipe after using the toilet.
Will you be on clear liquids or full liquids when you first get home? If full, then add some reduced-fat cream soups. I found the warm soup (strained, of course) to be very soothing to the new pouch. Get some unflavored protein powder (like Unjury or AnyWhey) to add to the cream soup.
One of the best things I bought for early post-op life was a set of shot glasses. Mix up your protein drink and pour it into the shot glass for sipping. That makes it easier to sip small amounts without rushing!
For the drive home, my husband folded up a towel to place on my lower abdomen. It cushioned the seat belt nicely for the bumpy ride home.
