I'M HAVING SURGERY ON 5/13/05 AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT IS THE NORMAL RECOVERY TIME. I AM TAKING A WEEK OFF SHOULD I TAKE MORE TIME OFF...AND I KEEP READING THAT YOU CANNOT DRIVE FOR 2 WEEKS. IS THIS TRUE?

Ask your surgeon how long you should wait before driving. I had lap RNY, and my surgeon's guidelines is two weeks.

Adrienne... My surgery is also scheduled for the 13th. I am having the Lap Rny, my Dr. told me atleast 4 weeks, but if I am feeling better, I can go back sooner. Driving he said 1 to 2 weeks, depends on healing! Good luck & God bless Kim
