I have a date!! (For surgery, that is!) LOL
Hi everyone,
I am a newbie here. But I just wanted to say that I have a surgery date of May 23 at 8:30 a.m. Exactly 14 days away! Anyone else out there scheduled for May 23?? This time seems like it will drag by! I want to get this over and be on the losing side! Although I am really scared because I am a wimp when it comes to pain. I have had 3 c-sections and I was in ALOT of pain then. I don't know how RNY compares to it, but I am hoping it won't be as bad. At least with a c-section, I got to take home a brand new baby (and in the case of my first c-section, 2 brand new babies). After the RNY, I will just be taking home PAIN! Thanks for letting me vent here and I hope to be a constant poster now that I have found this site! Thanks!

Lemme tell ya, I'm a weenie when it comes to pain, as well. 
The liquid Lortab I was given really helps, and it helps within a few minutes. The dr made sure that I wasn't in pain in the hospital, so no worries there. I threw up a couple of times and that HURT! I was given morphine and didn't know it, it makes me sick so I would have refused it. By the time I found out it was to late. 
Anyway, if you do what you're told, and follow directions to the letter, you should be fine. Don't be afraid to use your pain meds. It doesn't make you a weenie or anything else. I'd rather be comfortable that worry about what people think of me for using them.
The smilies? Look when you go to post on the right side column. "Toolbar". There are arrows you can hit for a drop down menu that gives you the codes to copy and paste into your post to use them. Says Message Emoticons.

Hey, we've got the same date!!! I got the news the day before Mothers Day! I'm VERY nervous yet extremely excieted! My son and daughter have the same Birthday, May 11th. But now that they are turning 10 and 11, they want two seperate parties. So the next two Saturdays are booked. Now I have to squeeze in my CELEBRATION!!! Here's to US!!!
