SURGERY CANCELLED....

Well I just got a call from the Drs office and they had to cancel my surgery. Reason being that the assist surgeon is sick. I am very upset, I realize that people get sick, but I have put so much into this and so have so many other people. My sister is already down here, she had to make arrangements for her kids. I was just becoming comfortable with everything, and now I am back to the emotional roller coaster. I hope it won't be too long before reschedule. They couldn't give me a date today. The surgeon and assist had to decide that together. So I am in limbo right now.

Oh no!! I can't imagine how that must feel! Like you, I hope they don't leave you hanging very long. Good luck and keep us posted!

We may be living in a parallel universe. My surgery is also May 18, 2005. I have called my surgeon's office three times and I am sure I am getting a cold. Wow we do get ourselves stressed out and no more cookies!!!!! Judy M.

Dear Wendee, Just remember there is a reason for everything! Trust in the journey, and you will get there! Oh sweetie, I am so sorry, but like someone else said, you're not cancelled, just postponed! My surgery is in 12 days. I've just come down with a MAJOR chest/head cold... AND my pre-op labs say my blood glucose is tooooo high and must be in normal range or they will postpone mine as well! Just think, by this time next year, we'll be in completely different bodies!
