I am not nervous but I think my subconsious is!!!!! Tomorow is the day!
Hey all, I have to tell you I had the most active night last night!!! I was dreaming like crazy and fighting with my CPAP some! I was up over an hour ago and went to bed at like 1:00!!!! Stayed up with hubby after date night/last meal (sushi and lots of it!) and watched National Treasure. I love that movie!!! I have a ton to do to keep me busy today thank goodness and we have to be at the hospital at 5:45 am, it is about an hour drive into Dallas so we will be up bright and early! We stopped at Barnes and Noble to get hubby a book to read at the hospital and I picked up 4 books and 3 scrapbook magazines and a big crossword puzzle book! I have been a reading fool! My sweetie was like "HAppy Mother's Day, Dear" I did not know what to get you pre-op, that was easy!!! Well off to read some more posts and update with all my new WLS buddies.
I have so much laundry to do it is not even funny!
I have to stop and say I have such an awesome positive outlook about this, God has truely blessed me by putting wonderful people in my life, I do not know if I would be as positive about this if it had not been for the outpouring of support I have received. Just my neighbors alone offering to help with my daughter or if I need anything just blows me away!!! I hope you all are able to find a lifeline for support the way I have. I believe this will truely ensure my success!
I wish each an everyone of you on this journey the very best life has to hold because we deserve it! We really do! I just am so pumped about starting my life I can not tell you!!!
I can not WAIT to feel thin again! See you LOSERS!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

The subconscious is a devious little thing, isn't it? I had my surgery last Tuesday, and the Sunday prior I had multiple dreams all about surgery. In one, I was in the hospital waiting for surgery and it kept getting delayed over and over again.
The scary thing is... my surgery really WAS delayed for five hours past the scheduled time. (my surgeon's earlier patient was a revision with a ton of scar tissue, and he wound up working on her for about ten hours, yikes)
Good luck tomorrow! If you're having laproscopic surgery, get ready for burping contests with your husband afterwards!
Prayers are being sent your way tomorrow morning. I had my surgery this past Wednesday. It went smoothly and I am feeling really good, having no problems. I hope you have as good an experience as I did. If you are first case of the morning, I am happy for you. Mine was scheduled at 1:00 and I didn't go into the OR until 5:00! Talk about nervewracking! Now I am on the losing side and am soooo happy that I had the surgery. Like you, I can't wait to feel thin again. Good Luck!

Good luck Heidi. I hope everything goes well for you.
To give you an idea of what's ahead for you, I am 20 days post-op and have lost 21 pounds!! It is amazing. Other than a small infection in one of the incisions, everything is going great. I am off 2 of my 3 diabetes meds, and have had my blood pressure meds cut in half already!!
