Help!! This liquid diet sucks
Hang tight and do it. It is just the becoming of some very uncomfortable changes we have to make to get to our goal. The liquid diet makes it easier for the surgeon and ALSO easier on you. You won't have so much gas after the surgery which I hear is on of the most painful of all the changes. Keep it up!!
I start next week and ahve a huge cabinet of goodies - broth, jello, propel, unjury, - -popsicles - yummy!!

Amy--
You are so right about the liquid diet. It really sucks. I have been on 6 days now, and it is getting easier. The thought of food is kind of sickening, and the hunger has subsided. Then last night my wife at a hot dog while I was having my broth, and I dreamed about eating that hot dog in the night! I have read about prisoners of war doing that.
What has helped me some is to eat different kinds of broth, different flavors of jello all the time, tall glasses of 50 per cent juice on ice, and lots of different hot herbal teas. And then to stay busy, busy, busy with everthing I can think of. My computer crashed, so I spent hours reloading programs, hours getting my garden in before the surgery, extra hours at work.
In the process I have lost 13 pounds already! Surgery Monday at 11:00 am.
