i have to change my surgery date......

and im so blue...... i dont know i always since the start of this journey in JANUARY said i wanted the surgery no later then MAY. Have worked my hardest to make this happen. NOW that i had my MAY date.....of the 25th the people i hoped to help with the kids are not avialable. SO im forced to see if i can move this out a week till the 1st. IM really aggrevated cause i know the surgeon must be booked up. My hopes will be someone else wants my date and will give me the 1 st in its place. I guess it gives me one more week to loose weight...but im more down. Keeps moven....at first i was hopeing for the 18th or 25 th then that fell to 25,,,,and now this. SO freakin hard. guess its life and my time will come. JUST venting the blues one week isnt horrible

You cant get ANYONE else to watch the kids?

I can fully relate. My family has always been the type that expected me to drop everything and come running--didn't matter how long I had worked that day or what. When I need them, they're always busy. I read your profile, your stepmom was your hospital advocate--why won't your parents help? What about the childrens' dad? I wonder if their lack of helping with the kids is their own little way of protesting your having the WLS? Are they against it? Alli

Well my step mom has this really big DOG show that WEEKEND and she has a new PUPPY ( that she traveled to ENGLAND TO GET) just beginning in the show circuits. THIS is the biggest show annually and he needs to get started. THIS is the future she wants for the puppy in SHOW so i understand. THEN i leanred also my inlaws will be in EUROPE. MY father in law runs marathons and has 3 in EUROPE that week he is traveling so it sort of left no one to watch my kids. I do have one that not school age and needs care all day. MY hubby would be at the hospitol so we need a person for the kids and thats were its not working out unless i move surgery 1 week. I hate the thought of it but i have no choice. IM waiting to hear from the surgeons office .....so frustrating. thanks for caring...... lisa

thanks for the suggestions, but i think during my surgery and my first moments in the room my hubby or some advocate needs to be there. ITs hard my yongest is only 2 years old so were not just talking after school care i really need an all day sitter for him. Funny thing is im the family daycare provider of the area!!! Thats my career.......so funny how i am in need of this. I am hopeing that i only have to move out surgery 1 week, that i can handle. Truthfully any more then that I am sticking with this date and will beg my childrens friends parents to help me out. SO hard....... but the surgeons office didnt call me back so im on edge wonderfing if the people on the next wednesday would take my date and i take theirs. GOT my fingers and toes crossed...one week i can handle...anything more then that im not happy with as i dont want to ruin my kids summer with this i want to be up and on the loosing side for SUMMER w/ my kids!
