i have a date
Well I am having mine on May 11 th at 9:30 am I am scared to death but yet really happy. To be honest at this point i am like at a stand still. I start my liqude diet on wensday not looking forward to that but it is a must. I think my biggest fear is giving up food. It has always been there for me no matter what . I hope that does not sound dumb. Good luck to you all hope it goes well.

Tammy, saying that you fear losing the food is in NO WAY dumb. Many of us feel the same way - like ME! Food has been our constant companion for years, if not our whole lives. The companion is about to die, and we have to deal with all of the emotions related to death. I am prepared for the depression that will follow the surgery, though I keep praying it won't come... lol ANyway, be sure to keep posting and let us know how you're doing on your journey!

Congratualtions Tammy on getting a surgery date!!! I also have a surgery date of May 11th and I am scheduled for 7:30. We will be having our surgeries at the same time. It is nice to finally know of someone else who has the same day as me. I have been checking and have not found any others the same day. I was happy to see that you have yours is the same day as me. I have to have liquid diet only the day before surgery, but I have cut down on food since my consultation with my surgeon. I know it is not easy and I still have my days where it is very hard to turn down food, but I just keep trying. Things will be ok for you, it will all work out in the end. I hope for you a speedy and complication free surgery and recovery. Hope to hear from you on the losing side
