My date is May 6, 2005... I am already packing. HELP!!!!

I have been preparing myself for this, I have bought my vitamins already, and I started preparing my bag. I bought a 9" fan because a lot of people have complained of being hot in their rooms and I rather go thru pain than being hot. I also bought slippers, chapstic, toothbrush, I am also packing very loose fitting clothes. Should I bring PJs to the hospital, I am known for over packing can anyone tell me what to pack. Kandy Just give me a list of essentials..... I might be alone in the hospital. My only family is my sister and she is taking care of my 2 year old son.

My surgery date is May 12th and I've been making my list of things to pack. Here are a few additional things I'm going to take that I didn't see on your list: baby wipes bath powder book/magazine pillow robe

Karen, we share the same surgery date. Good luck and I will say a prayer for you and will see you on the losing side! I also have been taking my Q-10 and vitamins ( vitamin C too, dont want to catch a bug before surgery ) I purchased some new jammies, slippers, chapstick, etc. I still need to buy a robe and I thought of taking my own pillow too. I am up for anymore suggestions also!
