MAY 3rd!!!

Hey there Melissa, Did you need to lose wieght before surgery? By the way my date is also May 3rd.....

My surgeon puts his patients on a 2-week liquid diet. I started this Tuesday... so the only wieght I am losing is because of this. So far so good. I lost 7lbs the first few days. I know some surgeons dont require a liquid diet but some people do it anyway. If you are having it done lap. then it makes more room in your tummy by shrinking your liver. It could only help. What pre-op stuff does your surgeon have you do?

well I had an EKG,X-Ray, Upper GI,sleep apnea study,counseling report,and of course all my lab work which tested positive for H-Pylori! And over @UCLA we need to pass 4 classes on pre-op,post-op and dietary. I guess if we don't get 75% we would have to take the clases over. Rosie By the way I think you look great. Wow... you have to go to a class. That is amazing. Im sure it is good for people to know what they are getting themselves into. I had my gallbladder ultrasound, X-Ray, and EKG yesterday.

Alot of testing huh? Yeah I think that the classes are good,they teach you about eating and vitamins and pre-op,post-op and if you any type of questions then you can ask the nurse. But the only thing I dont like is the hospital,UCLA it looks real dirty,you would think all the money they charge you on parking they would fix the place up! I do love the Dr. he is great! Dr Mahran.
