Surgery Date!

I am new to the board. My Name is Kathy, and I have been struggling with my weight my entire adult life, and came to the conclusion that WLS is my only hope. I have a wonderful supportive husband and friends as well, I am truly blessed. Well I have a date of May 5th, and many emotions are going through me right now. I am trying to keep busy and in a positive outlook. I will be having a proctor with my surgeon Dr. Galvin, since he has done many RNy's but is new to the lapband. That is why I chose May 5th, there will be four of us all together doing the lapband when the proctor comes into town. I am also self-pay. Kathy, I know how excited you are! I am self pay also. I am so thankful that I am blessed with a supportive mother. She agreed to pay for this without hesitation. I think she could tell that I feel it is my only hope at a new life. Take care, Sharon
