May 10th is my lucky day! : )

Hi, all... my open RNY surgery is scheduled for May 10th, 2005. Dr. Dean Roye of Rhode Island Hospital is my surgeon and I have the utmost confidence in him (he has done over 500 of these surgeries). While I can't wait to lose the weight, I am, naturally, somewhat nervous. I've never had major surgery and have concerns about my respiratory health and anesthesia (sleep apnea and asthma). I am sending my positive thoughts out to all of you! --Karyn

I'm 5/10/05, too, woo hoo. At this point I am excited, the nerves have not set in. I am sure there are going to be many sleepless nights ahead. UGH. Hang in there. Melissa.

I am 5/10 too so there are at least 3 of us that can keep in touch with our progress!

Karyn, Well Looks like there are a few of us that have May 10th as our lucky day! I am scheduled the same day. Dr. Eyman at Parma Community Hospital in Ohio will be performing my Lap RNY. I am just as nervous as you are girl! But I really can't wait to be a healthier person. It will be nice to see all the ones that have surgery on the same day progress after surgery...atleast we all can complain at the same time about the pains afterwards......tho here's hopin it won't be too bad for any of us!! I'm right there with ya for the positive thoughts honey!! Kim

I fought almost two years to get approved and am proud to say I have a surgery date of May 10th!
