I DID IT!
I did it!
I ran a half marathon! 13.1 miles!
Just before the run, I got teary eyed thinking of how far I had come. From a 300lb person that couldn't ever fathom doing this kind of exercise. I have been training hard since January, getting up at 5am to run before work, going out in cold dark, 24 degree mornings, eventually getting some warmer temps and a little morning light. On Sunday, May 3rd, I completed a half marathon! It took me 2 hours and 34 minutes, I ran the whole time, never quit. What made it even more special, was that I ran it with my sister, who has lost over 100lbs over the past two years herself. I am so amazed at us! - Now I feel like - What's next?!
I am going to continue to run for exercise, I am also going to ride my bike more often.
I am so glad the warmer weather is here, I'm looking forward to an exciting active summer.
