Kathy - what's going on...
Michelle,
For you friend... the statistics say that like 80% of things are "nothing" aka B9 so hopefully that is her case!
My breasteses... or breastis... or "righty" is still bruised and very swollen. Funny benefit from lumpectomy is that my right breastis now fills the cup of my post-WLS bra. Whoda thunk that.
My armpit seems fairly well healed from the sentiel lymph node biopsy (SLNB or SNB). Doncha just love acronyms?
Right now I'm in a holding pattern. Surgery coming 1/23 so what 11 days away now. Could it move any slower or what???
I'm now getting sleep courtesy of Ambien. Got my PCP to hook me up. Luckily no late night eating under the "influence" though no late night cleaning either. LOL.
Doing reading on chemo, radiation, hormone therapies. Not sure if chemo is indicated for me. Lymph node was no - so that's good. Tumor size was small - so that's good. Tumor histology was "unfavorable" at grade II (intermediate grade) - so not sure if that is enough to add chemo into the picture or not. Have appointment with the oncologist and radiation oncologist for the week after my pathology comes back from the next surgery. Hopefully clean margins this time but we'll see. If not, the breastis is a goner!
Thanks for asking!
Take care!
Kathy

I am assuming from your post that you had problems with Ambien in the past. I have as well. Did a lot of night time roaming and eating. But it seems to have gotten better since starting the ambien SR.. I get to sleep and stay put. But I did do some strange things.. Led the Ohio State Marching band through my house wearing a collender on my head and doing the script Ohio.. GO BUCKS.. LOL
Did Laundry, steam cleaned carpets, Rode my horse ( broom) through the house singing Rhinestone cowboy.. Such fun.. LOL
But so far no reports of me coming out of my room once I get to sleep now..
Hugs
Laura
