anyone ever made a radical move from one part of the country to another (by themself?!)

In particular I am curious about the women who may have one this alone, but any and all stories are of great interest. I live in Boston and am thinking of moving South... perhaps to Florida. I have no family living here any longer and since i lost the weight I have lost all my close friends, and my b/f of many many years.... well... our relationship is fizzling (YOU WOULD THINK IT WOULD BE SO GREAT!!! now that i am wearing 2s and 4s instead of 12s and 14s nuy nooooooo... no i have sagging skin and droopy knees.... lets face it... i'll never be a model. and my face ..... oh boy. i'm not 'arm candy' but i am fun..... lolol What can i say? so i want to move........ far far away..... hhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Yup. At age 25, I moved from NY to Virginia. Only knew 2 people here. I am a social sort and meet people fairly easy though these days... people are so rushed and transient. If you move, good to join health club, social clubs, etc to get out and meet people. Network! K

Well, not across the country, but at 23 I was going through a divorce and transfered my job across the state- 3 hours away- didn't really know anyone, but it was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I say go for it!
