I just left Dr. Rodriguez's office. I have to have my band removed. I have had it for a year and 1/2. It just works like a tube not a pouch. I tried calling some other Dr.'s in my area of Plano and they won't see anyone elses patients eventhough my dr. is retiring. Has anyone else had to have thiers removed? Has anyone had to change dr's? This is really disheartening and difficult for me. I am still paying off the loan for my band and I don't have a clue how much removal will cost or how to get a dr. that will take someone else's patients.

Sorry you've had so much trouble, Brenda. You might want to try posting this on the lap band forum. Others there might have experience like yours and can offer some better insight into what can/should be done. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/a,messageboard/board_id,5359/ Best wishes, Kathy
