8 Week Challenge - 2 Weeks Down - 6 Weeks to Go!
How'd everyone body do? Report in. Remember, if you didn't meet your goals... you've got 6 more weeks to do it. I know that's how I'm looking at it. LOL!
I'm still struggling. Definitely made improvements in water and vitamins as I had hoped but not on exercise. Right now my tattoo hurts on my leg so I'll wait a few more days before hitting the gym... excuses, excuses.
Here is the original post. If you didn't join in last week, join now. 6 more weeks to go!

8 Week Challenge - Who Is Down Wid That?

Post the things that you'd like to work on in the next 8 weeks. The challenge will last from today until Christmas day which is as you many have guessed - 8 weeks from today. Makes some positive changes. Work on getting in your water or vitamins. Work on getting in your protein. Working on moving your body to get it fit and toned.
We'll have a weekly check in for those participating. Remember you can jump in at any time.
Some suggestions of things to keep in mind:
1. Try not to post "I want to lose 10 lbs by Christmas" - we all know this far post-op that it is hard to truly gauge how much weight our bodies will lose and how fast/slow it will go. It would be wiser to chose eating, water, vitamin and fitness goals that might yield weight loss when done consistently over the 8 week period.
2. Try not commit to doing anything every single solitary day during the 8 weeks. Do not set yourself up for failure from the start. We all know that is derned near impossible to do something every day. Illness, problems, work, family and just plain life gets in the way. Setting a goal of "I'm going to get 100 oz of water in and all my vitamins in at least 5 days a week every week" is better than saying you are going to do it 7 days a week. See my point? (See I actually did pay attention at Weigh****chers and other therapy type meetings).
3. Be sure to set yourself some cool reward at the end for a job well done. Whether it is buying yourself something if it is in the budget, a spa treatment, or just going to the library and getting a good book and allowing yourself the free time to doing nothing else but sit and read - go for it!
So what'll it be. Name your own poison. LOL!
Ijust jumped on the band 1 week ago.. but so far so good... have exercised 4 times. (my goal was 3x/wk).
Am going out of town Thur/Fri so will hit the gym at the hotel as there will be NO distraction to keep me from doing it.
However my wt is going up... Im at the upper limit of my 5 lb bounce area... No sure if Im not eating enuff, too much, body adjusting, etc....
Clothes still fit the same tho so maybe its just a fluke...
I was told instead of 1 hr of cardio and 30 min of wts to even it out a bit more... 30-45 min of cardio and more wts.... UGH... but as Im getting NO soreness out of 30 mins then I need to either up the wts or something...
Keep going everybody... this is great.
Hugs
Karen
Week two -
Non-Me Items
1) Spend more quality time with my Daughter... Seeing as she's grounded until the 1st of the year, we've been spending a lot of time together... She did raise the "D" to a strong "C" before the term closed so....
2) Get my home ready for the Holidays... Yikes... This is a never ending battle with the new puppy... We have decided to wait until the weather is warmer to remodel the bathroom... so that's one big headache out of the way...
3) DH has a REALLY bad cold.. Time to give him a little TLC... Made him stay home from work and go to the Dr's. Turns out he had "Whooping Caugh".... and caught it from my Daughter who caught it in school.... (what happened to the days when you couldn't get a child into school who hadn't been immunized) (Dr Kathy?) Everyone is over it now...
My Challenges -
1) DRINK MORE DAMN WATER!!! up to 60 oz per day... but still could do better...
2) Take the Vitamins on the Weekend!!! I haven't missed a day in the two weeks.... these 7 section boxes help....
3) Excersize my trouble spots at least 3 times a week. ... Got a new Body Solid Gym installed and love it..... Almost makes excersize fun... Almost... And I work out with my Daughter so it helps on that goal as well...
4) Start getting information on Plastics, cost, recovery, etc... Nope... haven't done a thing... I am not ready for this mentally or physically, so maybe everything will be half the price when I get around to it....
I have decided that I'm going to take my DH on a nice long weekend somewhere warm as my bonus.... 4 days in the sun sound really good now...
