Double Century Club
Happy Saturday, Maysters,
Today. The scale said 151. That's 200 pounds gone. I've tried to imagine strapping on 200 pounds of weight around me and walking up the stairs. How did I do that? How did I ever get that big? How did I stay that big for 15 years or more? How in the world did I ever lose it? I can't even begin to wrap my mind around the idea of it all. One more pound to a "normal" BMI for me, and my personal goal. I realize that some of the weight might come back after I fully recover from this TT, but for today, I celebrate.
Thanks for all your sharing,
Debra M.
Thank you all for your kindness. I know you know how hard this is. My friends have all been extremely supportive during my weight loss, but no one else has had the gastric bypass, so they just can't truly understand the work that has gone in to losing this weight. Yes, the first 100 pounds came off because of the surgery, but the second 100 I worked for each and every pound.
Every one of you should congratulate yourselves for your hard work. We are on this together.

For those that use the word "easy" when it comes to WLS, we who have been through it know the truth. This is far from easy. Yes, in the beginning weight comes off quickly but to get more off and to keep it off takes lots of work - exercise, self-monitoring, a new relationship with food and a new way of eating.
Congratulations on achieving all that and your double century club. Excellent!
You should be very, very proud of yourself. And you know that we are proud of you! Don't look back at where you've been but look ahead to all the things you can now do in a healthy body and enjoy yourself!!

Tracy,
With all of your hard work, you'll be at 151 before you know it!! You are an exercise inspiration to me. I remember reading one of your posts about all of the exercise dvds you have, and I thought, I've got to talk to that girl. I am actually looking forward to exercising again, and will want some new ones. In fact, before my tt, I was checking out ones from my local library to see if any of them worked forme. I found out pretty quick that I am "dance challenged". Before you know it, you'll be ready for your plastics.
