Gotta have more surgery

I went to the ER on Sunday for stomach pain and vomiting. I was admitted to the hospital and had to stay until yesterday. I have to see my doctor again next week when he is going to schedule surgery for me. Apparently I have a twist about 14" down from my new tummy. I know I'm in good hands - Dr. McKane is amazing and I love him! But I'm scared for the surgery. He said it'll be about 6 weeks to completely heal from this one.

I too, am sorry to hear you need surgery. It must have been very frightening to have to go to the ER. The possibility of a bowel obstruction always scares me. Please let us know how you are doing. Same question as Kate, do they know what caused it? Debra M.

I will see my doctor again on Tuesday. I don't think they know exactly how/why this happens...it just does to some of us unfortunately.

That stinks!! At least it seems like it's something he can fix and he has high hopes for the surgery, that it will fix the problem. I hope your recovery time isn't as long as he's projecting and that all goes well!! Lisa
