Totally OT: But Fabulous News
My officemate's son is no longer going out on patrols in Iraq (Fallujah).
This is due to having the vehicle he was riding in hit twice in 2 weeks. He suffered concussions in both and has since been "grounded" so to speak. Apparently concussions can be cumulative.
He is 2 weeks from coming home so the one week til you go back on patrol became "you aren't going back on patrol".
The first incident a week and a half ago or so, they were in their vehicle and a bomber took too long hooking up a battery to the bomb so only the rear door of their vehicle was destroyed. The whole vehicle did turn over. (Luckily the cooler full of Starbucks Frappucinos survived.) If the bomber hooked things up faster... they would all be dead.
The second incident, it was a different type of incendiary device. This time, one in the road. Gasoline, I think. It took out 2 vehicles in front of his. I know that 3 men perished and 2 were maimed.
Serious stuff going on. So, Edward will be coming home very soon but I feel bad for the men going in to replace these guys. They are going in with things in bad, bad shape.

Kathy,
I'm very happy to hear the news, but, I'm so sorry the guy had to suffer 2 concussions to get off patrol duty. I hope he makes it home safely!!! I really really hate this war.
Every night that I watch the Nightly News with McNeil on PBS and they show all the young men and women who were killed in Iraq, I literally say "I'm sorry" to each and every one of them. I'm so sorry Pres Bush put us into this mess. Very very sorry.
