Starting classes today
Well, my college classes start today. Technically, they start tomorrow but all the info is on line and so I'm getting going today. I've got American Ethnic Literature, have to read the following: The Joy Luck Club, House Made of Dawn, A Gathering of Old Men, and Their Eyes Were Watching God and then I'm taking International Relations (poly sci 401) yup, a sophmore and I dare take a 4th year class!!! UGH!!! I pray that I'm not in over my head.
The thing I love about Baker College online is that I take these two classes the first half of the semester and then I switch to my other two for the second half of the semester. Second half I'm taking Intermediate Algebra and The American Novel.
WHEW!!!!!! I'm glad that I'll be done by Christmas!!!
I'll try not to drop my online support too much. (not that I've been on here too much lately anyway)
Anyone else taking classes this fall??
Laurie, I'm with you! My classes started Sep 5th and I'm taking Intro to Microcomputer Systems (easy - just learning about Microsoft Word, Excel, etc - but a required course), US History to 1877, Advanced Expository and Research Writing (which is an upper level writing course that basically teaches you how to write better papers - like summaries, different sentence structures, etc.) and beginning Oct. 20-something I'm beginning a class called Classical Foundations which studies aspects of the ancient Greco-Roman world like myths, religions, philosophies, government and politics, etc.) I was only going to take 2 or maybe 3 classes this term but one of the scholarships that I got (a $5000 one) requires that I go full time which is 12 credit hours, so I had to add on the last class. It's rough but I've got to do it. Next term (beginning in Jan) I've got to take 4 more to get the remainder of the scholarship. These 4 classes put me just into my Junior year, so I'm glad.
