Your last post gave me a great idea. I will start a list of some of the most outrageous statements I have heard since having surgery and everyone add to it. 1. Did your surgery work? 2. Do you have to eat weird the rest of your life? 3. Aren't you afraid of all the hanging skin you will have? 4. I know people who have died from that surgery. 5. Do you feel better than you did before surgery? 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17.

Lisa, I'll add on as number 6, and I think its the best, from those that are "especially" suffering, stating that they dont want to lose too much weight. Come on now, lets cross that bridge when we get to it.

Geez...I think I may have said that pre-op. DOH! Well... it was a concern of mine. Having lost 32 lbs prior to surgery and wanting to only lose 84 after... I was at times concerned about the surgery working too well. Luckily my body seems to have settled in comfy just about where I want it. Kathy

Man, do you think I could lose the 30 pounds I want to lose that way? Do you have to eat everything through a straw for the rest of your life? When will you have it "undone"?

I'm adding: If I ate like that, I'd be as big as a house. Couldn't you lose it the regular way? You eat more than I do. But you eat healthy. (This was my sister... ROFL.) You look gaunt. But gaunt is a good thing.

I don't know what they say behind my back but to my face I have had nothing but good! That being said I am a RN in the hospital and nursing is known to be one of the "fatest" occupations. Most people ask me how I went about getting approved for surgery and how can they get it done!!!
