Weird med cond? anyone else???
Its been the craziest thing lately.I keep getting stys in my eyes. They fluctuate between one eye then in a few days that one goes away and then I get one in the other eye?? I have never had one before.I havent switched anything make-up,soap ect.My eye lid twitches the day before and then ..bam I got a sty.Of course I havent gone to the doctor but I think I am.I havent been sleeping all that well and like everyone else I am always stressed and running around like a chicken ...could that maybe contribute? .Just wondering if any of you maysters have heard of this or had it.I would post it on the main board but I guess you have to be in the loop or write all the time to get somekind of response.I am more of a lurker and learn alot from just reading but this med condition is new one to me(havent seen it before on any board).I would love to call in sick tomorrow but since I own my own buisness I think the boss would frown upon ~ I know I am like all the rest of you we work sick or not its just the way we roll.I always tell my kids inless they are coughing up a lung...your behind is in school.Have a great night ya-all.If you ahve heard of such a thing let me know. ~laura~
I've not heard of this either so I don't have an answer for you. I'd say get to the doctor on it though. I have noticed a direct corelation between my vitamin intake and my eye sight.... when the vits are taken on a regular basis, things get blurry for me and I squint a lot. Just another "strange" thing to deal with now.
Hope you get your eyes back to normal soon!!!

You ladies are sooo smart!!! Okay heres another question..what foods have vitamin "a" in them?? I take alot of supplements.I just got back from my primary care doc they said it probably was a bacterial infection.Gave me a shot of a steriod in my fanny and gave me an oral antibiotic. My gastric doc moved to Alabama I know most primary care docs arent too familiar with us gastrics.I also said I have been having issues with sleeping and staying asleep I wonder if that has anything to do with vitamin "a" also??? They gave me restoril and lunesta to try ..just hate taking meds you know. Thanks for the imput.I totally would love to crawl into bed and rest now but I have to work .We own a septic tank pumping buisness 24hours a day the phones ring all the time.IT has been raining for a while so you know I am busy ..its good but I am tired and I would love some cheese with my whine... Its hard to complain when I am truly blessed to work for myself..They pay is great hours are bad..Have a great day ~laura~
Realize with our revised plumbing...the likelihood of absorbing vitamin A from food sources is probably quite slim. Rich had 0 vitamin A on one of his first labs after surgery. Yup... 0. He takes 5,000 mcg per day I believe and all is well since. Vitamin A is one you wouldn't want to supplement with unless you knew you were low.
Vitamin A rich foods:
liver
sweet potatoes
carrots
mangoes
spinach
cantaloupe
dried apricots
milk
egg yolks
mozzarella cheese
Alcohol, coffee, or excessive iron can all deplete your body's supply of this essential vitamin.
The chief cause of styes is stress so with your busy business and lack of sleep - that might be more the problem.
Hope you feel better soon!
