Update on Strep...

Yannow... I think by now I know my body... Went to the after hours clinic. Was told the white spots were "food particles that stick to the back of your throat". Was told - no fever, no swollen glands (really? they sure felt swollen to me!), test came back negative, yada yada yada. Take lots of vitamin C, drink lots of fluid, blah blah blah... It's viral, it's allergies, whatever... Yeah, right. Went to the drugstore to get said Vitamin C, ran a couple more errands, came home to a message to call the clinic... Turns out that AFTER I left, the test turned positive. I DO have strep... I knew that. So now, I have to sit around and wait for my script to be called in and filled so I can go BACK out and pick it up. Sigh.

Becky, Sorry you've got strep, but I'm glad you found out and are getting the medication you need. Take care of yourself. I know how uncomfortable that can be. Hugs, Wanda

Oh geez, woman! Yup, you know your body. You are the only one that lives in it! I cannot believe the "food particles" crap. Hope you got your prescription and are feeling better soon. Any news on your labs from last week? Did they send them around the world or what? Hugs, Kathy

Yeah, the food particles thing... ughh... Haven't heard back on my labs, and honestly, I forgot about them yesterday cuz I felt like chit. Gonna call this morning when they open.

I was obsessing until I got so pi$$ed about the food particles comment... Actually, I just wasn't worried about it yesterday, I hurt that much... Today isn't that bad, but I figured, hey, I probably exposed enough people to my cooties yesterday, I'd give them a break today. Glad you're seeing your therapist... Things going better on that front?

Things are better, thanks. Once I understood the big picture, I realized that I probably overreacted though I've been told otherwise by the "source" of the issue. LOL! Glad there is a computer between us. No cooties for me! Thanks, Kathy
