1. The best thing about WLS is IT WORKED FOR ME. 2. The worst thing about WLS is IT WORKED A LITTLE TOO WELL FOR ME 3. The silliest thing someone said to be since WLS was: Well, this was said to my DH, not me "You know, she's going to lose all of her hair, have to take big honkin pills the rest of her life and have a bunch of nasty flabby skin." - yeah, ok, my hair thinned, but I didn't go bald, I take some vits - but they're chewable and they're good for me, and yep, I do have some nasty flabby skin, but I STILL think it was silly! 10. Okay.... I lied.... 8. The best compliment paid to me since WLS was "You've got a great @ss." Hey, I'm human, ok?

1. Having a help losing alot of weight 2. Having to pay for it myself. 3. Even with the TOOL we still have alot of work to do. 4. I can grab my foot to do that stretch exercise- pulling it up and back sideways, I always used to have to grab my sock and pull it up all the while trying to look inconspicious . 5. How hard it was to train myself to ' chew, chew, chew !' 6. For the weight to come off as quickly as most of my peers. 7. The lack of the signal of feeling full, if I take 1 bite too much I'll hurt for a long time. 8. That I "look pretty good for an old person" 9. " Grandma what is this skin hanging on your chin? ", answer "It's my turkey waddle, gobble, gobble !" (asked by 5 yr old grandaughter) 10. Much more fulfilling than I expected and the joy of feeling so much healthier and free of so many major health problems. ( and energy ! )

When my family first saw me this summer the comments they made made me feel like I had been a walking house before. 6. The thing I expected after WLS that never happened was I would get a life and learn to get out there and socialize. Not yet but as long as I'm still walking this earth there's hope. 7. Since WLS, I just cannot get used to attention from guys who knew me previously. 8. The best compliment paid to me since WLS was that I'm really beautiful. It was kind of funny because it was at the end of the semester and the guy had never seen me do myself up. You know getting dressed up and putting on makeup. So it made me giggle but it really touched me too. 9. The silliest thing someone said to be since WLS was they asked me how much I weighed and then stated oh so your still fat hunh. This was a comment from my aunt she was on the phone and didn't see me. Fat no I went from a tight 34 to 20. You can call me what you like I know I look better than before and the fact that she's a 24-26 and said it just made me laugh. 10. My life after WLS is harder then I ever expected because the weight loss has helped me physically but I'm still discovering who I am and how to integrate my new desire to socialize with being a single mother.
